Mamma Maria, Lahti, Finland

Every time I go back to my hometown, I crave for Italian food in this place. It really the best in whole Finland, and even in a small town like Lahti you will pretty often find a queue at the door, so booking is recommended. It is not a chain, which is even better as it makes the place more authentic and you get a cozy feeling when walking in. Prices are reasonable too: you can easily get a main (that always comes with a salad and toasted tomato bread) and a drink for about 10 euros. During lunch it gets even cheaper, and you will get coffee and icecream on the house - big recommendation! My mom got penne pasta with smoked salmon, and I got my all time favorite - king prawns (scampi) with spaghetti, and for desert a piece of tiramisu, pannacotta and homemade gelato :)
